The team IT is designing and writing the crucial piece of software, that turns a machine into an autonomous robot. The demands are complex, the software needs to evaluate tons of data and draw the right conclusions
To make this possible, we meet weekly and work together to find solutions to the problems. With the help of the sensor data team electronics is handing over to us, we create an accurate map of the robots surroundings. The map is used for discovery and navigation. Furthermore, we want to interact an manipulate objects precisely with the robots arm.
Not colliding with any obstacles or causing damage to humans is absolutely vital to a successful operation, we develop methods to avoid this.
Right now, we are designing the software with software engineering methods to achieve an elegant and stable result. Documentation is a important part of our work as well as keeping the program clean and transparent. This allows for easy code maintenance and for others to join our Team more quickly.
